Mar 20 Anza-Borrego Desert Workshop Results

I was thoroughly reminded of the popularity of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in springtime this past Saturday when I led a group of photographers out to capture the wildflowers. There were a couple of events going on in the city of Borrego Springs and the photographers were out in droves. The visitor center was a zoo, the streets were full, but the scenery was great.

There weren't as many wildflowers in the south end of the park as there were last year, but the north end was looking pretty good with some healthy patches of Sand Verbena, Desert Dandelion and a lot of really fat caterpillars. We photographed these flowers in the north end for a couple hours before heading out to Mine Wash at sunset to capture some of the more classic desert scenery with Cholla Cactus (a.k.a Teddy Bear Cactus) and Ocotillos dotting the landscape. I only took one picture from the day, and here it is:

My group of students were a blast to teach! Thank you all for coming and making this workshop great for me! I hope to see you all again real soon!

Feb 23 Laguna Beach Workshop Results

Due to a last minute unforeseen change of plans, my recent Winter at Quail Hill Workshop on February 23rd had to become a Winter at Laguna Beach Workshop. But it worked out great anyway because the rocks and low tide down at the beach turned out to be a blast to shoot. Here's my shot from the evening:

As always, thank you to all my students for attending! I hope to see you again!
