Private Lessons

Cancellations and No-Shows
In the event the student no-shows for an appointment or notes down the wrong appointment time causing them to miss the appointment (so long as the error can be proven to be on the part of the student and not Nick Carver) and does not give at least 48 hours notice of cancellation, the full time scheduled will be deducted from any prepaid hours (e.g. if you no-show for a 2-hour appointment without 48 hours notice, you will be deducted 2 hours from your prepaid time). If the student gives at least 48 hours notice for a cancellation or reschedule, no time will be deducted from his/her hours and no penalty will be incurred. If an appointment is missed due to an error on Nick Carver's part, however rare that may be, no time will be deducted from the student's hours and no penalty will be incurred.

Prepaid Time Expiration
All prepaid time must be used within 6 months of purchase. Any prepaid time not used within 6 months of purchase will be forfeited by the client.

Refunds
No refunds will be given to anyone requesting a refund for time already delivered. In the event the student has prepaid hours leftover, the full dollar amount of the remaining time minus a 10% processing fee will be refunded upon request. Any student who receives a refund for private lessons will no longer be accepted for future private lessons or workshops.

 

Online Courses

Unlike other online photography courses, all course materials will be available to the student from day one of the course. You don't have to wait around for the next set of materials to be emailed to you, you can start whenever you please and the materials will be available to you anywhere there's an internet connection. Because of this method of delivery, Nick Carver cannot offer refunds after the student has received his/her curriculum page login.

In the event a student requests a refund after having received his/her login information, after viewing part or all of the course materials, after completing one or more weeks of material and/or after completing the course, no refunds will be given. In the event a student requests a refund after enrolling but before receiving his/her login information, a refund will be issued for the paid amount minus the credit card processing fee (rates vary) or a full credit towards another course.

In the event a student starts the course and realizes the course is too difficult for them and/or is above their level, the student will receive a full credit for the course to be used on the same course in the future or on another course of his/her choosing. This credit may also be used towards phone, chat or in-person private lessons.

This credit may also be used towards phone, chat or in-person private lessons. Please avoid this problem by carefully reviewing the "Who's This Course For?" section of each course information page and send an email to Nick Carver with any questions regarding whether or not the course will suit you.

 

Workshops

In the event a workshop has to be cancelled due to the weather or some other natural cause outside the control of Nick Carver, the workshop will be rescheduled to a future day and time. In the event an attendee cannot attend the rescheduled day and time due to scheduling conflicts or other foreseeable reasons, the attendee will receive a full credit towards any workshop of his/her choosing that is not already full. No refunds will be issued.

In the event a paid attendee cannot attend a workshop due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, personal emergency, family emergency or illness on his/her part, the attendee will receive a full credit towards any workshop of their choosing that is not already full. No refunds will be issued.

In the event a workshop has to be cancelled due to illness or other personal emergency on the part of Nick Carver, the workshop will be rescheduled to a future day and time. In the event an attendee cannot attend the rescheduled day and time due to scheduling conflicts or other foreseeable reasons, the attendee will receive a full credit towards any workshop of his/her choosing that is not already full. In the event the attendee cannot find any other workshop that he/she wants to attend and/or cannot attend, a full refund will be issued upon request.

No refunds or credits will be given for any workshop that the requesting party has already attended.
