____All fine art prints from Nick Carver Photography are printed on Kodak Professional Endura Metallic Paper, making them the finest quality prints available. This paper utilizes a specific, proprietary combination of film laminates that results in prints far superior to normal glossy photos. Kodak Endura Metallic prints have a distinct 3-dimensional appearance to them and look as though backlit. This coupled with its high-gloss finish and metallic base result in images with superb brightness, sharpness and clarity. Blacks are denser and colors more saturated. These prints also offer enhanced resistance to tear and increased stability, lasting up to 100 years in typical home display or 200 years in dark storage. Kodak Metallic Prints also have reduced developer replenisher rates, which means less chemical waste and negative impact on the environment. These prints are more expensive than traditional glossy prints, but the difference is significant and undeniable.

____Additionally, each and every fine art print is signed in gold ink by Nick Carver, along with the year of production, in the bottom right or left corner. The print itself is signed (as opposed to the matting) so that each photo will carry along its signature no matter what the final method of display.

____Almost all un-framed fine art prints from Nick Carver Photography come mounted on a rigid backer board with a single white mat on top.* This mat is hinged to the backing with durable linen mounting tape so that it may be opened with no damage to the print, backer board or matting. The print itself is mounted to the backer board with nothing more than 4 clear photo corners. This means all prints can be easily removed from their backer board with zero damage to the print or mat. The whole piece is then slid into a crystal clear protective plastic bag with an adhesive flap. This method of presentation offers maximum protection for the print, minimum chance of bending, greatest ease of transport and the most options for final display.

____These fine art prints can be displayed in any of the following ways:

1. Leave the print mounted on the backer board, with the single mat, within its protective bag.
2. Remove the whole piece and drop it into a standard size frame. Leave the print mounted on the backer board with the white mat over the top and put it into its corresponding frame. Use this new backer board instead of the frame's supplied backer, secure the frame contents and you're done! The print will stay in place and it will have an attractive single mat within your frame.
3. Remove the print from the backer board and mat, then have it custom matted and framed. Either have it professionally done or do it yourself.

____Below is a table illustrating the respective backer board and mat size for each print size offered. Each backer board/mat size is designed to fit within a standard size frame commonly found at local frame and arts and crafts stores.

____Each and every piece that leaves Nick Carver Photography is assembled by hand and thoroughly checked for quality and defects before delivery. Given the nature of this product, many of these fine art prints are made to order. This means that delivery of a product can take as many as 5 business days after receipt of an order (not including shipping times). We apologize for any wait you may need to endure but assure you the highest quality products and service available.

 

*Only the largest prints available are not presented in this fashion but instead come rolled in a durable mailing tube. These prints are the same Metallic prints as all others but have no backing or mat board.

____All framed fine art prints from Nick Carver Photography are professionally assembled in a simple black frame with double bright white mats. This clean style of presentation best accentuates the color and composition of your art piece without distracting the viewer with colored mats and ornate moulding. The mats are offset at 1/2" instead of the traditional 1/4" for a unique look that will better draw the viewer's eye into the photo.

____The backer board, mats and mounting are all acid-free to help increase the life of your picture and minimize the possibility of acid damage and discoloration. All framed pieces feature conservation glass that blocks 98% of damaging UV rays but maintains an 89% light transmission rate for maximum illumination and clarity.

____Framed prints are usually made to order, so please allow 2-3 weeks for production time. They are carefully packaged and shipped via UPS ground. The following table illustrates the frame size for each size print (add about 3" to each dimension for approximate total size including the frame):

____ All fine art prints from Nick Carver Photography are Genuine Limited Editions (unless otherwise noted). Most prints will be limited to 100 prints in each of its offered sizes and is indicated on the ordering page.

____ In order to certify a print as a true limited edition, it is assigned a randomly generated 10-digit serial number, which is unique for that edition and unrelated to any other serial number. The serial number is indicated on a sticker placed on the back of the photo or the frame along with other pertinent data including the size of the print and the edition number. Please, do not remove this sticker from the back of your print.

____ Each limited edition also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (pictured). This certificate indicates the serial number of your limited edition along with its title, SKU number, size and edition number. This certificate contains Nick Carver's signature along with an embossed foil seal in order to certify its validity. In order to validate a print as a Genuine Limited Edition, the corresponding data on the back of the print, the Certificate of Authenticity and records kept at Nick Carver Photography must match perfectly.
